Troubleshooting PASPort Login: 403 Forbidden Error

If you receive a 403 Forbidden error while trying to log in to your Laredo College PASPort account, the issue may be caused by a Virtual Private Network (VPN) running on your device.

Why This Happens

A VPN changes your internet connection by routing your traffic through another network or location. For security reasons, this can prevent access to the PASPort login page and result in a 403 Forbidden error.

How to Fix It

Before logging into PASPort:

  1. Disconnect or turn off your VPN.
    • If you're using a VPN application (such as NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Surfshark, Cisco AnyConnect, or another VPN service), disconnect it completely.
    • If your device has a built-in VPN enabled, disable it temporarily.
  2. Close your web browser (optional, but recommended).
  3. Reopen your browser and go to the PASPort login page.
  4. Log in again.

Still Having Trouble?

If you've turned off your VPN and you're still receiving a 403 Forbidden error:

  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
  • Try using a different web browser.
  • Restart your device if necessary.
  • Contact the Laredo College Help Desk for additional assistance.

Important Reminder

Always ensure your VPN is turned off before accessing the Laredo College PASPort portal. Once you have successfully logged in and completed your work, you may reconnect your VPN if needed for other activities.

If you continue to experience issues accessing PASPort, please contact the Laredo College Help Desk for support.
