Notice - Effective Spring 2025, the claim account process must be done first to use this wi-fi 

To claim your account, visit https://www.laredo.edu/experience/index.html for detailed instructions.

Steps to connect to eduroam wi-fi:

  • Step 1   -        Select the eduroam wi-fi signal on your device.

  • Step 2   -        For Identity:  Enter your PASPort username (Ex: jsmith1234)

  • Step 3   -        For Password:  Enter your PASPort password (Created during the claiming process)

Choose the following fields which may or may not appear in the same sequence depending on the device model you have.

  • Security:                                      802.1x EAP 
  • EAP Method:                               PEAP
  • Phase 2 authentication:             MSCHAPV2
  • CA certificate:                             Do Not Validate or Do not check
  • Anonymous Identity:                 Leave this blank
  • Auto Reconnect:                        Enabled/ON
  • Domain                                       laredo.edu (only If your device requires this field)
  • Step 4   -        Click CONNECT 

 

NOTE:   If connection fails, try and 'forget' the eduroam signal from your device before trying again.  You can also turn your wi-fi off and on to see if that helps as well.
