Connecting to Student "eduroam" Wi-Fi

Notice - Effective Spring 2025, the "claim account" process must be done first to use this WIFI*** To claim your account, visit https://www.laredo.edu/experience/index.html for detailed instructions.
Steps to on-board Wifi "eduroam" signal:

Step 1 - You must "forget” the “eduroam” Wi-Fi signal BEFORE connecting with your "Claim Account" password.

Step 2 - Once you "forget" the student signal from network settings, select the “Eduroam” network Wi-Fi signal on your device.

Step 3 - Enter the following fields which may or may not appear depending on what type of device you have.
- Security: 802.1x EAP
- EAP Method: PEAP
- Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
- CA certificate: DO NOT VALIDATE
- Identity: Enter your PASPort username
- Anonymous Identity: Leave this blank
- Password: ENTER THE PASSWORD YOU CREATED WHEN YOU CLAIMED YOUR ACCOUNT
- Auto Reconnect: Enabled/ON
- Domain laredo.edu (If your device requires this field)

Step 4 - Click CONNECT
NOTE: If these steps fail, turn your wi-fi off then back on again on your device, then try the steps again. Visit Information Technology at Martin Building 134.
